Wallace Delois Wattles was a “New Thought” writer who lived from 1860 to 1911. Wattles tended to write practical articles and books teaching practices he first tested on himself. His writings covered such topics as health, wealth creation, religion, socialism and what we now call “self help”.

Wallace Wattles practiced and taught a manifestation technique called “creative visualization”. According to his daughter Florence,

“He wrote almost constantly. It was then that he formed his mental picture.

He saw himself as a successful writer, a personality of power, an advancing man, and he began to work toward the realization of this vision.

He lived every page … His life was truly the powerful life.“

The legacy of Wallace Wattles

In 1910, Wallace Wattles wrote the classic book The Science of Getting Rich.
